INTERMEDIATE OBEDIENCE
CLASS
This 6-week course is for students that wish to continue their dog's training for either personal or competitive reasons. This is a great class to participate in prior to our Competition Class. In these classes, we provide a variety of lessons which include:
-
how to build a better connection
-
how to provide clarity in training
-
how to build your dog's confidence
-
how to introduce new challenges
-
instill the ability to make better choices
We introduce the students to competitive scent work, rally and obedience. While continuing to grow the student's education and trainer mechanics.
You will learn how to video, assess and plan future sessions.
In this class you will be challenged and so will your dog. Come have fun with your dog and learn how training the dog in front of you changes everything.
We will also hold practice run throughs of Beginner Novice and Rally, where we will video you so that you can assess your progress and pinpoint any areas where you and your canine can improve.
COMPETITION OBEDIENCE
CLASS
This 6-week course is for students who wish to compete with their dogs in obedience.
You will learn all of the elements through Utility as well as what it takes to prepare you and your dog for competition. We'll work on keeping your dog sharp and fit, both mentally and physically.
You and your dog will also learn the importance of Calmness Protocol, what fills your dog’s bucket and how to empty it. You'll learn what turns your dog on, how to prepare for a show, and how to plan a warm up drill.
You will learn how to video, assess and plan future sessions.

Scent Class
The Beginner Scent class starts you on the path to building your dog's hunting drive, introduction to the target odor, introducing handler mechanics, footwork and leash skills.
We will work with you to help you put the pieces of the puzzle together. By videoing your sessions, you will be able to go home and watch your runs over and over again to learn what worked well and what may need some improvement. You will also begin to learn the signals that your very own dog uses to indicate that they have found odor. You will also learn what your own body language can do to either help or hinder your dog's confidence in locating odor.
We work on the building blocks of the purpose of the drills, how proficient your dog is, what equipment is needed, and execution of a problem.
We will use Birch, Anise, Clove and Cypress over the course of several weeks.
The Advanced Scent Work Class continues to work on your mechanics, ability to read your dog, footwork, leash work and building confidence in your team. We will work with all 4 odors and placement of those odors will advance to more challenging problems.
Come enjoy time with your dog learning something that they just love to do naturally. Watch them learn how to identify odor in a tin or hidden in a pile of debris. It is truly amazing to watch them transform into detection magnets and you as a handler become more and more confident in your skills as your dog's handler.
Rally Class
The Rally Drop In Class is offered monthly if warranted by enough attendees. This class is a drop in class and payment is due prior to class.
There are two gated rings set up at the training center, with courses that include Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Excellent and Masters signs.
You will have an opportunity to walk the course several times then run your dog through accordingly. We offer assistance with signs, we walk the course behind you like a judge would, and if you like, we can offer suggestions.
The courses are changed every time and new courses are laid out for your skill level. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work with your dog side by side, running through a Rally Course while having fun and being able to talk and praise your dog along the way.
Come out and give it a try, you might be surprised what you have been missing!
